For the second time in four days, Mitchell tied a high temperature record.  The June 7th record of 98 degrees was set just last year.  The normal high for June 7th is 79 degrees.  On Saturday, Mitchell’s high temperature reached 101 degrees, which tied a record set back in 1933.  Today’s high is set to be in the mid-90’s.  The record temperature for June 8th is 103.  That was set in the year 2000.
