PLANKINTON — Names have been released of two of the three people who were involved in Sunday’s fatal vehicle crash west of Plankinton.

Preliminary information indicates that a 2002 Toyota Camry was eastbound on Interstate 90 when the driver lost control of the car. The vehicle went into the south ditch and rolled.

Both male passengers were not wearing seat belts and were thrown from the vehicle. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. One passenger was identified as 26-year-old Wesley Noisy Hawk of Dupree, S.D. The identity of the second passenger, a 60-year-old male, is not being released pending notification of family.

Kyanne Redwater of Pierre, S.D., 19, was the driver. She suffered serious non-life threatening injuries, was transported by ambulance to a Mitchell hospital and later airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital. Charges are pending against her.

South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is in charge of the investigation. All information is preliminary at this time.
