The Mitchell City Council will consider action to approve lead remediation at a building in downtown Mitchell.  The project at the former Crafty Fox building located at 223 North Main Street was approved at a June city council meeting.  However, FloorTec, the company chosen to perform the service, is no longer able to remove the lead from the building.  ServiceMaster Recovery Management can complete the work early next month at a cost of just over $27,000.  The lead and asbestos removal must be completed for the city to continue its restoration efforts.
