Mitchell – Anne Huber has been named the next head cheer and dance coach for Dakota Wesleyan University.
Huber is a Mitchell native and brings more than two decades of experience in cheer and dance after founding her dance business called “A.H.hhh…Dance”. Over the course of her career, she has built a strong relationship with DWU student-athletes and staff by having her teams perform regularly at DWU events.
“She brings a proven background of success that will help us reach our future goals and expectations for both cheer and dance, DWU Athletics Director Jon Hart said. “Anne has the distinct ability to get the most out of her athletes due to her charisma and genuine passion for the sport. We can’t wait for her to get started,” added Hart.
DWU will continue to offer sideline cheer for football and basketball while also building an opportunity for dance performances based on interest and future roster numbers.
“I am very humbled, honored and excited that DWU is giving me an opportunity to be the head cheer and dance coach!” Huber said. “As a lifelong Mitchell resident, I have always admired the DWU community, and I’m looking forward to building relationships with current and future Tiger student-athletes.”
