The Mitchell Planning Commission will hold a special meeting on Thursday at noon at City Hall in downtown Mitchell. The agenda includes a plan by a California man to remodel the former Crafty Fox building located at 223 North Main Street. John Adamo’s proposal includes adding 30 apartments, replacing the elevator, and adding a restaurant. The item has been on the past two Mitchell Planning Commission agendas, but there were not enough members present who could vote. Three of the seven members of the commission have cited conflicts of interest as they are working on the project. State law requires four members must be present to legally vote on items. Thursday’s meeting is open to the public and it is streamed online at the city’s YouTube page.
