Dakota Wesleyan University held its dedication today for the new School of Business, Innovation and Leadership. Interim president Theresa Kriese spoke before a large crowd of faculty, students and community members gathered outside on Thursday prior to the ribbon cutting.
“The structure you see is many things,” Kriese said. “It’s the culmination of many years of planning. It is another step toward the completion of our detailed master plan.”
Geri Beck — CEO of the Mitchell area Development Corporation and Chamber of Commerce — said this building will reach people beyond just traditional students.
During the dedication, the names were unveiled for the Ron and Sheila Gates College of Business, Education and Social Science — as well as the Musick Family Department of Business.
