Watertown senior Drew Norberg announced on Tuesday via Twitter his commitment to Dakota Wesleyan basketball.

The 6-2 guard put up averages of 21.6 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists for Watertown this past season and was named to the South Dakota Class AA All-State 1st Team.

On the offensive side, Norberg said being able to score from anywhere has been a challenge he’s taken on.

“My dad always said that if I wanted to be a true scorer, that I had to learn to score from all three levels,” Norberg said.

“He’s been huge,” Norberg said. “He was my coach from second grade until about ninth grade, and then he got out of it. He’s been huge in my path for sure.”

As for why Norberg chose Dakota Wesleyan?

“It’s a winning program.”
