Jo passed away on Thursday, August 4.

Funeral mass will be Saturday, August 20 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Parkston.

Prayer service will be Friday, August 19 at 6:30 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Parkston.

Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Parkston.

Jo was born on July 9, 1950 in Spencer, Nebraska to the late Bernard and Florence (Sibbel) Engelhaupt. She was united in marriage to Richard J. Huey on June 18, 1973 in Mitchell, SD. Jo worked in the IT department for Theda Care, retiring in 2017. She enjoyed working on puzzles, camping, and spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jo is survived by her children: Denise (Wayne) Anderson, Janise (Chad) Calkins, Dawn (Curt) Hendrickson, Patrick (Julieta) Huey, Shane Huey, and Keith (Hope) Huey, 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her siblings, Sr. Bernadette Engelhaupt, Teresa Erdelt, Leonard (Karen) Engelhaupt, and Jerome (Marcia) Engelhaupt and many other friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard on October 22, 2016, her son Chad Huey, and her sister Mary Philippi.
