SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW)  The Mitchell Kernel girls basketball team fell to Harrisburg 57-41 in the quarterfinal round of the Class AA girls basketball tournament in Sioux Falls on Thursday.  Harrisburg, the number seven seed, shot 10-20 from 3-point range and 7-10 from the perimeter in the second half to down the 2nd-seeded Kernels.  Mitchell was up by one at halftime.

Harrisburg was led by Jaylee Hofer’s 21 points.  Abby Flanagan added 11 for the Tigers.  Sawyer Stoebner scored 20 to lead Mitchell.  Mitchell will play Spearfish at 1:45 PM on Friday in the consolation round.
