It was signing day at Mitchell high school yesterday afternoon! Where five student-athletes signed their letter of intent to play and compete at the next level in college.

Did you know: About 2 percent of high school athletes are awarded some form of athletics scholarship to compete in college and the average overall percentage of students participating in sports that go on to compete and play in college is just six percent.

Ashlynn Pollreisz signed her letter of intent to go to the University of Minnesota-Morris and Tenley Peterson will attend Dakota Wesleyan University, both playing soccer. Cheerleader, Joslin Sommerville, is going to Mount Marty University for Competitive Cheerleading. Emerson Smith will be going to the University of South Dakota for swimming. 2024 Class AA State Champion, Markus Talley, will be attending Augustana University to play basketball.
