A new champion was crowned in Class 9AA football last night! It was the No. 2 seed Hamlin that emerged victorious over the No. 1 seed Parkston. Hamlin won it, 32-8 in the DakotaDome.

Each of your Tiger basketball teams will have their first conference basketball games tomorrow. They will be on the road in Crete, NE for some afternoon hoops. Things will get rolling for your No. 11 ranked women’s basketball team beginning at 2pm and the men will follow at 4pm.
It’s a big weekend for the men’s wrestling team. They’ll be hosting “The Ambush”, a dual against Division ll Southwest Minnesota State at the Worlds Only Corn Palace. It is the first time in two decades they will get to host a dual at the Corn Palace. Doors open at 6pm and matches get going at 7pm.
The Tiger football team is set to take the field for the final time tomorrow afternoon. They’ll be on the road travelling to Sioux City, Iowa, to face the No. 6 ranked Morningside Mustangs. If they can upset the Mustangs, they will finish with a .500 record in the Great Plains Athletic Conference at 5-5. Tomorrow’s game will begin at 1pm with pregame at 12:30pm.
NBA
Just one lone game was played in the NBA last night. It was between the Dallas Mavericks and the Utah Jazz. It came down to the final seconds again for Dallas, who has struggled in clutch games this season. It was another game where they could not get over the hump and they fell to Utah, 108-106. A dozen games will be played tomorrow, and your Minnesota Timberwolves will take the court. They’ll be facing the Sacramento Kings and 9pm on NBA League Pass.
NFL
It was Thursday Night Football last night with a pair of NFC East teams duking it out. It was the Philadelphia Eagles who turned on the gas in the second half and took the win over the Washington Commanders, 26-18. Your Minnesota Vikings will retake the field on Sunday when they play the Tennessee Titans at Noon on CBS.
