Today state volleyball tournament action begins. Mount Vernon/Plankinton will represent Class A as the No. 5 seed and will face No. 4 seed Dakota Valley at 12:45pm in the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, SD.

Last night Tiger basketball took on the Northwestern Red Raiders in a doubleheader at the Worlds Only Corn Palace. It was a strong showing from your No. 11 ranked women’s basketball team against the No. 21 ranked Red Raiders. They took down Northwestern, 67-55. Led by Rylee Rosenquist who had 18 points and tied for the team-high in assists with four. The men’s team on the other hand had a bit more trouble with No. 12 ranked Northwestern. Northwestern pulled away after going into the half with just a nine-point lead. The Tigers fell to the Red Raiders, 87-68. Randy Rosenquist Jr led with a team-high 16 points.
Tomorrow the women’s wrestling team will be on the road. They’ll travel to wrestle in the Missouri Valley Open. It is a two-day competition, and action will get going at Noon on both days.
The GPAC All-Conference teams were announced for football yesterday afternoon. Various players received acknowledgement. Receiving nods for honorable mention were senior quarterback Carter Robinson, junior wide receiver Cole Holden and junior punter return specialist Landon Ruesink. Ruesink also received second team all-conference as a defensive back. On the offensive side, sophomore running back Koly Kayser earned second team honors as well. Finally, sophomore offensive lineman (LT) earned the nod for first team all-conference.

Just four games will take place today in the association with just one on National TV. It starts with the Detroit Pistons at the Charlotte Hornets at 6pm on NBATV, then your Minnesota Timberwolves at the Toronto Raptors at 6:30pm, then at 7pm it’s the Utah Jazz at the San Antonio Spurs and the night will end with the Orlando Magic on the road to face the Los Angeles Lakers at 9:30pm.

Thursday Night Football is tonight! Kicking off the week 12 game action, will be the Pittsburgh Steelers traveling to play against the Cleveland Browns at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland, OH. The game will kickoff at 7:15pm on Prime Video.
