Mitchell Sports
Kernels gymnastics competed yesterday afternoon in the Mitchell MEGA Gymnastics Center. They came away with another successful day and a big final teams score of 148.05!
Mitchell girls and boys wrestling will continue competition today. Both teams will continue wrestling in the Rapid City Invitational for day two. Things will start again at 11am at The Monument Summit Arena.
The Mitchell Marlins action continues again today for day three of the Boys Varsity Minnetonka Hockey Tournament, in Minnetonka, MN.
Dakota Wesleyan
The women’s wrestling team will be hosting a dual tomorrow here in Mitchell. They’ll be taking on Minot State in their last bit of competition in 2024 and won’t pick back up again until January 10th after this. Tomorrow’s competition will begin at 1pm tomorrow at the Christen Family Athletic Center.
The Tiger track & field teams get back to it tomorrow for the DWU Snow Tiger Open. They’ll host this meet in the Avera Sports & Wellness Complex. The women will get started at 9am and the men will begin at 10am.
The Tiger men’s and women’s basketball teams have conference game action again this weekend. In the World’s Only Corn Palace to take on the Midland Warriors tomorrow. The No. 17 ranked women’s basketball team will have tipoff with the Warriors at 2pm and the men will follow at around 3:45pm.
NBA
Regular season action continued in the NBA last night with just a few games. Results include the Boston Celtics beating the Detroit Pistons, 123-99. The Miami Heat defeated the Toronto Raptors, 114-104, and the Sacrament Kings sneaking past the New Orleans Pelicans, 111-109.
NFL
Thursday Night Football this week was one big defensive struggle last night. The game was without a touchdown all night long. In a low scoring affair, it was the Los Angeles Rams who came out on top with a 12-6 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
