Mitchell
The Mitchell Marlins hockey teams will get back to the ice tonight. They’ll play against Rushmore each day for the next three here at the Mitchell Activity Center in the Toshiba Rink beginning at 8pm. The boys will go to Morehead, MN for a tournament today & tomorrow.
The boys and girls basketball teams will both compete in the Hoop City Classic. The boys team will raise their banner for their Class AA state championship from last season. The girls won’t play in the Hoop City Classic until Monday on its final day when they face Sisseton at 6pm. The boys will start on day two, tomorrow, at 7:30pm against Orono (MN) and pick back up Monday following the girls game and take on Orlando Christian Prep (FL) at 7:30pm.
Dakota Wesleyan
Your Tigers basketball teams are getting their practices in now ahead of games of the weekend. The women will be on the road and the men will be home this Sunday. Your No. 17 ranked women’s basketball team plays in their final exhibition of the season and face the North Dakota State Bison in Fargo, ND at 1pm. The men will remain home and take on the Jamestown Jimmies in the World’s Only Corn Palace with tipoff at 3pm in Mitchell.
NBA
Tonight, it’s an eight-game slate with two games to be aired on National TV. It starts at 6pm when the New York Knicks travel to play the Orlando Magic. Then it’s a pair of 6:30pm games with the Indiana Pacers at the Boston Celtics on NBATV and the San Antonio Spurs at the Brooklyn Nets. Two games at 7pm, starting with the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Houston Rockets and the Memphis Grizzlies at the New Orleans Pelicans. At 8pm, it’s the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Denver Nuggets and the Dallas Mavericks at the Phoenix Suns. Ending the night will be the Golden State Warriors at the Los Angeles Clippers at 9pm on NBATV.
NFL
Football games occur on a Saturday again this weekend. Tomorrow three games are on the schedule. All games are on the NFL Network. Starting with the Los Angeles Chargers at the New England Patriots at Noon, then the Denver Broncos travel to play the Cincinnati Bengals at 3:30pm. Then the slate ends with the Arizona Cardinals at the Los Angeles Rams at 7pm.
