Mitchell
The Kernel gymnastics team are set to compete this weekend. On Saturday they’ll host the Mitchell Meet at Mega Gymnastics. They’ll compete against Sioux Falls Jefferson, Sioux Falls Lincoln, Sioux Falls Roosevelt and Sioux Falls Washington. Things will get started at 11:30am on Saturday.
Kernel girls basketball is back to the hardwood for 2025 beginning tomorrow. They’ll be home in the World’s Only Corn Palace playing against the Harrisburg Tigers. JV gets started at 4pm, then sophomores at 5:30pm and varsity at 7pm.
Dakota Wesleyan
The Tiger basketball teams will be taking on Concordia tonight in the World’s Only Corn Palace. It’s the first Great Plains Athletic Conference game of the new year. It’ll get started with the women at 6 and then the men at 7:45pm.
NBA
Games got kicked off for 2025 yesterday they continue today with six games and a pair on National TV. At 6:30pm you have the Indiana Pacers at the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics at the Minnesota Timberwolves. Then at 7pm, you’ll have the Brooklyn Nets at the Milwaukee Bucks and the Los Angeles Clippers at the Oklahoma City Thunder. Ending the night with two games at 9pm, you’ll have the Philadelphia 76ers at the Golden State Warriors on TNT and the Portland Trail Blazers at the Los Angeles Lakers.
NFL
No Thursday Night Football in the NFL this week, but Saturday football will keep on going. You’ll have the Cleveland Browns at the Baltimore Ravens at 3:30pm on ABC/ESPN. Followed by the Cincinnati Bengals at the Pittsburgh Steelers at 7pm on ABC/ESPN.
