The Kernel basketball teams will hit the road tonight to face the Tea Area Titans. Subvarsity games will start at 4pm & 5:15pm. Varsity girls will play at 6:30pm and boys will start at 8pm.

Tomorrow, the Kernel wrestling teams will be in competition. Each team will compete in a varsity tournament on the road in Chamberlain in the Chamberlain Armory and both teams begin at 10am.

Returning to compete on Saturday is the Kernel gymnastics team. The varsity will compete in an Invitational against Sioux Falls Lincoln at Sioux Falls Lincoln high school. Competition will start at 11am.

The Marlins varsity hockey teams return to the ice over the weekend. Starting with the girls in action tomorrow on the road at Watertown beginning at 8:15pm. Both teams play on Saturday. The girls will face Watertown again and get started at 3:15pm and the varsity boys play later that night at 8pm against Watertown as well.

Dakota Wesleyan

Home action tonight for the Tiger women’s wrestling team! They’ll be in the Christen Athletic Center taking on Morningside & Jamestown in a Triangular beginning at 5pm.

The Tiger track & field teams (multi’s only) get back to the track tomorrow afternoon. They’ll be on the road competing in the Concordia Classic and they’ll start at 2pm. It is a two-day event, and they’ll continue action Saturday at Noon with everyone competing.

The Tiger basketball teams competed last night at home in the World’s Only Corn Palace against the Waldorf Warriors. It started with your No. 15 ranked women’s basketball team as they posted one of, if not their largest, margin of victory of the season with an 88-37 win over Waldorf. Avery Orth led the Tigers in scoring off the bench with 15 points. The Tiger men had a strong game as well by making a statement at home as well. They took down Waldorf by a score of 71-49. Jacob Dobney led all scorers with a game-high 17 points.

NBA

In the NBA tonight, we have nine games on the slate. A trio of games will air on National TV. It starts in the afternoon at 1pm with the San Antonio Spurs at the Indiana Pacers. Hours later, at 6pm, you’ll have the Portland Trail Blazers at the Orlando Magic. Followed by two 6:30pm starts as the Toronto Raptors visit the Atlanta Hawks and the Miami Heat play at the Milwaukee Bucks on TNT/TruTV/MAX. Next will be the Dallas Mavericks at the Oklahoma City Thunder at 7pm, followed by the Sacramento Kings at the Denver Nuggets at 8pm. At 9pm, it’ll be the Boston Celtics at the Los Angeles Lakers on TNT/TruTV/MAX. Rounding it all out will be the Washington Wizards at the Los Angeles Clippers at 9:30pm.
