PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) South Dakota Governor Larry Rhoden is banning two Chinese apps. He has officially added DeepSeek and RedNote to the state’s existing executive order against Chinese-related technology. The ban affects state devices and personal devices used by state employees during work hours. Rhoden says the ban aims to protect South Dakotans’ personal information from what he reportedly called evil foreign governments, like the Chinese Communist Party.
