Dakota Wesleyan
The Tiger football team has released their schedule for the 2025 season. The 11-game season will start with a matchup with the Dakota State Trojans in non-conference action on August 30. Then two road games against Dordt and Concordia, afterwards, Dakota Wesleyan returns home to face Northwestern on September 20. The Tigers will then travel to Briar Cliff and Doane before hosting the defending GPAC Champions, Morningside on October 11. They will then host Waldorf on October 25 before heading back on the road to face Mount Marty. The regular season concludes on November 18 as Dakota Wesleyan hosts Hastings.
The Tiger baseball team saw action yesterday afternoon in Forest City, Iowa. They faced the Waldorf Warriors in a doubleheader and were able to take both games! Winning Game 1, 7-5 and Game 2, 7-3. DWU improves to 8-19 overall and 7-3 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference.
Tiger softball will get back to GPAC action today. They will travel to Hastings, NE to face the Hastings Broncos in a doubleheader. Games will begin at 3 & 5pm at the Smith Softball Complex.
Tiger men’s and women’s golf will resume today with more competition at the Green Valley Golf Course in Sioux City, Iowa. This is day two action, and the Tigers will conclude play today with results to come tomorrow. They will start today at 9am.
Both men’s and women’s track and field teams for DWU will be in competition today. They’ll be in Wayne, NE starting at 10am with field events & 2pm for sprints in the Wildcat Classic at Wayne State University.
March Madness
The men’s NCAA tournament will continue Sweet Sixteen games today with the first starting at 6:09pm as No. 6 Ole Miss takes on No. 2 Michigan State. The women will resume with Sweet Sixteen games today with the first game being at 1:30pm between No. 3 North Carolina and No. 2 Duke.
MLB
The Minnesota Twins dropped their season opener yesterday afternoon to begin their season. They fell to the St. Louis Cardinals by a score of 5-3. They will return to action again and look for win number one tomorrow when they again match up with the Cardinals beginning at 1:15pm on FS1.
NBA
The Minnesota Timberwolves will see game action today and are the only National TV game in the NBA. They will host the Phoenix Suns at 7pm on NBATV.
