PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Governor Rhoden is busy putting pen to paper at the state Capitol. On Thursday, he signed six bills that emphasize taking care of the people of South Dakota. They include House Bill 1061, which prohibits a health care provider from denying a parent access to their kids’ medical records. Rhoden has signed 199 bills so far this session. He’s vetoed two. Governor Rhoden has been actively signing important legislation at the South Dakota State Capitol. On Thursday, he signed six bills aimed at prioritizing the well-being of South Dakota residents, including House Bill 1061, which ensures parents have access to their children's medical records.
