PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The South Dakota State Library is now closed to the public. The South Dakota Library Association made an announcement on social media yesterday. According to the post, those who need to use the library’s collection can until June 30th. Officials said the closure could be related to the cuts made by the Trump Administration and DOGE to the Institute for Museum and Library Services. South Dakota’s Department of Education has not responded to the closure. For more Government stories from MitchellNow.com, Click Here.
