MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Nonprofits seeking city subsidy funding for fiscal year 2026 must now complete a new, more detailed application form. The updated process, introduced by Mayor Jordan Hanson, includes an eight-question, five-page form that requires measurable goals and proof of public benefit. Applications are due by the end of July and must come from groups located in and serving the city of Mitchell. Some regional groups, like the Dakota Heartland Development Association, may face eligibility questions under the new guidelines. For more Government stories from MitchellNow.com, Click Here
