MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The city of Mitchell made just $2 at an auction for trailers in its city-owned mobile home park near Hitchcock Park. The Wednesday auction offered three trailers and one building, with only two bidders participating. Two trailers sold for $1 each, while one trailer and a house received no bids and will be demolished. Buyers have until October 1 to remove purchased units or face penalties. This was the city’s second trailer auction since purchasing the park for $1 million in April. Another auction is planned for October, and the city is still accepting redevelopment proposals, with an August 15 deadline approaching. For more Government stories from MitchellNow.com, Click Here.
