MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — LifeQuest will celebrate the opening of Cottage Bend, its new microhome village for adults with developmental disabilities, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house on Thursday.
The open house will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at 1008 E. Eighth Ave., located one block east of LifeQuest’s main building at 804 N. Mentzer St. Visitors will have the opportunity to tour two of the completed microhomes as well as the facility’s office space.
The Mitchell Area Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
Cottage Bend is designed to provide housing for adults with developmental disabilities while fostering independence and community living. The event offers community members an opportunity to learn more about the new development and the services it will provide.
