MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — Crime Stoppers is seeking information about a break-in and attempted theft at a business on Main Street in Corsica.
Sometime during the early morning hours of July 24, 2026, an unknown person or persons forcibly entered the business and attempted to steal several items.
Authorities said the suspect was wearing all-black clothing, black-and-white Nike shoes and gloves. The individual was also carrying a shovel, a wooden-handled hammer and vise grips.
Photos of the suspect and a vehicle associated with the incident have been released to help with identification.
Anyone with information about the break-in, suspicious activity in the area at the time of the incident or other criminal activity is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 605-996-1700 during business hours. Tips regarding this incident should reference case No. 507.
Callers may remain anonymous, and a cash reward may be available if information leads to an arrest. Crime Stoppers says caller ID is not attached to its tip line.
