MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — For more than 25 years, KMIT has celebrated the people who help drive South Dakota agriculture by recognizing local farmers during harvest season.
The KMIT Harvest Lunch is back, powered by Zach Scott Construction and Dakota Ag Insurance, giving area farmers a chance to enjoy a catered lunch delivered to them during one of the busiest times of the year.
Farmers can enter by looking for the red KMIT Harvest Lunch signup boxes at participating businesses throughout the area. A farmer will be drawn from each participating location to receive a catered Harvest Lunch for the winner and up to 10 family members, friends or neighbors.
Signup boxes can be found at Agland Coop in Parkston; POET; Agtegra locations in Mitchell, Woonsocket and Stickney; Bultsma Insurance Agency; Central Electric; Wenande Insurance Agency; H & H Ag Solutions; Murtha Repair; Rattazzi’s Locker; Titan Machinery in Mitchell; and Samuelson Tire & Oil.
The annual Harvest Lunch is KMIT’s way of showing appreciation for the farmers who work throughout the year to produce crops, raise livestock and support communities across the region.
Area farmers are encouraged to stop by a participating business, find the red box and enter for a chance to have a Harvest Lunch brought directly to them and their crew.
