MITCHELL SD (Mitchell Now) As harvest season approaches and activity increases on farms and ranches across South Dakota, the Women’s Ag Network is bringing practical farm safety and emergency preparedness information to four communities across the state.
On Tuesday, September 22, the Women’s Ag Network will host a multi-location Farm Safety & Emergency Preparedness event featuring The Dairy Wife. The event is open to men, women and teens and will focus on practical steps farm and ranch families can take to prepare for emergencies before they happen.
The presentation will cover basic farm first aid, emergency preparedness, and ways to help protect family members, employees and agricultural operations. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in hands-on demonstrations and learn practical skills they can use during a farm emergency.
