MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — The city of Mitchell is accepting sealed bids for surplus city-owned property at West 23rd Avenue and North Ohlman Street. Bids are due to the Finance Office by noon Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2026.
The property is legally described as the south 170 feet of Lot 1, Block 1, of El Rancho, except Roundabout Tract 3, in the southwest quarter of Section 9, Township 103 North, Range 60 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, in Mitchell, Davison County.
Interested buyers must complete the provided bid form and submit it in a sealed envelope by the deadline. An individual may only submit one bid.
Bids will be opened at City Hall immediately following the noon deadline. Bid forms are available at the Finance Office or by contacting the Public Works Department at 605-995-8433.
The highest bidder will be required to sign a purchase agreement for the property. The Mitchell City Council will consider awarding the property to the highest bidder at its Monday, Nov. 2, meeting.
