Mitchell School District Among Nine in South Dakota Receiving CTE Equipment Grants

The Mitchell School District is among nine districts in South Dakota selected for 2026 Perkins Reserve Grant funding. State officials say the grants will help schools upgrade Career and Technical Education equipment in areas including automotive, manufacturing, agriculture and culinary arts.

House Bill 1187, which would add school coaches to South Dakota’s mandatory reporter law, is scheduled for Senate consideration on Monday, March 9.
