Summit League officials released the schedules for the upcoming 2023-24 basketball season Thursday.
The South Dakota State women’s conference season will start the week after Christmas and feature a 16-game home-and-home schedule with every Summit League team.
SDSU opens conference action on the road at North Dakota on New Year’s Eve before the Big Sky-Summit League Challenge January 3 (at Northern Arizona) and January 6 (home vs. Montana State). Following the challenge series, SDSU hosts its first Summit League home games January 11 and 13 against St. Thomas and Denver.
The Jackrabbits host in-state rival South Dakota January 20 and play the Coyotes in Vermillion on February 3.
Other home Summit League contests include Oral Roberts on January 27, Kansas City on February 15 and Omaha on February 17. During the Jacks’ final home weekend they will host North Dakota and North Dakota State February 29 and March 2.
For the 15th-consecutive year, the men and women will culminate their seasons in Sioux Falls, S.D., as the 2024 Basketball Championships return to the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center, March 8-12. All nine teams will advance to the postseason. This year’s first round on Friday, March 8 will feature matchups between the No. 8 and No. 9 seeds in both brackets.
