MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — A group of Mitchell High School alumni recently revisited their past, recovering a time capsule they buried more than two decades ago on school grounds.
Four friends from the Class of 2005 returned ahead of the school’s demolition to dig up the capsule, which had been sealed with photos, letters and personal mementos from their high school years.
While some items showed signs of damage after years underground, much of the contents still sparked memories and laughter among the group.
The experience offered a chance to reflect on their time at Mitchell High School and reconnect over shared moments from their past.
