11-0 Howard and 12-0 Herreid/Selby Area face off at 1 p.m. on Thursday in the 9A state championship.
Going into the early-afternoon matchup, Howard head coach Pat Ruml said his Tigers need to rely on the same things that got them to this point.
“I know there’s a lot of teams that come into this state finals game and they try to change a lot of things, and that’s just not us,” Ruml said. “We’re just going with what brought us here.”
Howard made it to the state title after surviving against Wall 21-17 in the semifinals.
