Aaron Johnston Named to Coach of the Year Watch List

South Dakota State head coach Aaron Johnston was one of 20 coaches named to watch list for the inaugural Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Coach of the Year Award, Her Hoop Stats announced Wednesday.

Johnston enters his 24th season as the helm of the Jackrabbit program and holds a 571-185 all-time record. Under Johnston’s guidance, SDSU went 29-9 a season ago and ended its season in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Jacks were picked to win the Summit League in the conference’s preseason poll.
