An Amber Alert situation ended with two children being recovered safely just north of Mitchell on Saturday night.
Authorities issued the alert for a 2014 Chevy Cruz out of Pennington County just after 4 PM on Saturday after 37-year old Katrina Seay took 9-year old Zyriah and 5-year old Jeremiah Seay and fled just before 11:30 AM. Katrina Seay, who is their non-custodial parent, threatened to harm the children if authorities tried to stop her. Seay exited Interstate 90 at Mitchell and was driving at excessive speeds. Law enforcement called off a pursuit. Seay eventually stopped at a residence just north of Mitchell at Highway 37 and 245th Street. The children were recovered safely.
