Animal control officers are warning folks not to leave their pets outside in the bitter cold.  Officers in Rapid City responded to six calls about pets being left outside during the last cold snap. They warn families that leaving pets outside in the wintertime is inhumane. It can also lead to citations and animals being taken away. Nearly ten thousand animals die from abuse or cruelty each year.
