DWU Golf
The Tiger women’s golf team will continue play today in Henderson, NV at Reflection Bay Golf Club in the Rocky Mountain College Intercollegiate. It is day two of their two-day event. DWU as a team is currently in last place of the eight teams in competition. Though they do have two athletes inside the Top 20 competitors. Allison Meyerink and Sara Sudenga are both tied for 18th place at 24 over par. Start time tomorrow is listed as TBA on the DWU website.
DWU Basketball
The No. 2 seed/No. 9 Tiger women’s basketball team took on No. 1 seed/No. 1 Dordt in the Great Plains Athletic Conference Postseason Tournament in the Championship game. DWU was able to pull the upset victory and come away with the GPAC Championship after an 84-76 win on the road. The Tigers had four players in double figures with Emma Yost led with 20 points and Avery Broughton added 19. They shot 32-for-54 (59.3%) from the field as a team. DWU now awaits the NAIA Selection Show tomorrow night at 7pm to see who they will face in the National Tournament.
SDSU Basketball
The Jackrabbit teams will be playing in the Summit League Championship Tournament beginning tomorrow night at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, SD. The women are the No. 2 seed and will face the No. 7 seed Kansas City at Noon. The men are the No. 7 seed and will face the No. 2 seed St. Thomas at 8:30pm. Games will air on both the Summit League Network/Midco Sports.
NBA
The Minnesota Timberwolves were back home hosting the Memphis Grizzlies at the Target Center in Minneapolis. It was a high-powered 41-point scoring night from Anthony Edwards that propelled the Timberwolves to a 117-110 victory over the Grizzlies. Minnesota now improves to 39-23 overall.
