PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) All six of Attorney General Marty Jackley’s legislative bills become law today. The new laws focus on government accountability, human trafficking, and security in state correctional facilities. Jackley says the measures are designed to protect taxpayer dollars and enhance public safety. The bills include tougher penalties for obstructing human trafficking investigations, stricter rules for contraband in prisons, expanded powers for the State Auditor, and new protections for whistleblowers who report government misconduct.
