PARKSTON, SD (Mitchell Now) — Avera St. Benedict Health Center has been chosen to host the June 9 regional meeting for the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health. Federal, national, regional, state and local health care leaders will tour the health center and meet to discuss collaboration opportunities and challenges.
Offices represented include:
- South Dakota Department of Health Office of Rural Health and Emergency Services (ORHES)
- Federal Office of Rural Health Policy
- Health Resources and Services Administration
Avera St. Benedict Health Center was selected based on its exemplary reputation for South Dakota’s rural health and connections with ORHES through recruitment and retention programs, the trauma education course and Scrubs Camp.
