BROOKINGS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The Brookings Regional Humane Society is asking for the public’s help after taking in 32 cats from a recent hoarding situation. The rescued cats won’t be available for adoption for several weeks. In the meantime, the shelter is already caring for over 100 cats, with about 80 of them ready for adoption now. Brookings Humane Society Seeks Help After Rescuing Cats From Hoarding
The Brookings Regional Humane Society is urgently asking for community support after rescuing 32 cats from a hoarding situation. While the newly rescued cats will need several weeks of care before they’re ready for adoption, the shelter is already housing over 100 cats, with around 80 currently adoptable.
