BROOKINGS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) A Brookings man is behind bars after a violent crime spree that stretched across two counties Monday night. According to KELOLand, police say 26-year-old Connor Hanson stabbed a man in Sioux Falls around 5:30 p.m., then stole the victim’s pickup and fled. The victim suffered multiple stab wounds but is expected to recover. Investigators say Hanson went on to steal two more trucks near Volin and Yankton before law enforcement stopped him using spike strips. He was arrested after a short foot chase and is being held in the Yankton County Jail on a $50,000 cash-only bond, facing multiple charges in Yankton and Minnehaha Counties.
