MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — Mitchell has closed the intersection at 1st and Burr due to construction work on Thursday.
Crews are expected to have the intersection shut down for about eight hours. Rain is forecast after 5 p.m. today, and the intention is to be wrapped up with the work before the storms come rumbling in.
Drivers are encouraged to find another route. There is signage announcing the closure, but no detour is posted.
