PIERRE — Caden Hinker dropped 35 points in a fast-paced game in Pierre on Thursday as Mitchell defeated the Governors 69-54. Mitchell shot 51% in the game and held Pierre to 35.5% from the field. The Kernels improved to 7-2 on the season and won a third straight game. Pierre has lost its last four game and will face Douglas next on Jan. 20.
Mitchell is off until Jan. 21 when it travels to take on Sturgis Brown, followed by Spearfish on Jan. 22.
