SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Car thefts in Sioux Falls are declining, but police say the threat is still real. Over the weekend, a suspect broke into two apartments and stole cash and two cars. According to officials, only one of the cars has been recovered. Authorities say over 80% of stolen vehicles were left unlocked with keys inside. The city’s “Lock It and Pocket” campaign is helping, but police urge residents to stay alert and always secure their vehicles. For more crime stories from MitchellNow.com, click here.
