A firefighter from Cavour was killed while responding to a fire over the weekend. According to a press release, the Huron Fire Department responded to a commercial fire at 2060 Old Highway 14. Wolsey and Cavour Fire Departments responded as mutual aid to the large fire, which was battled in extremely warm temperatures. One firefighter fatality resulted from the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
