Christmas festivities set for Tuesday evening in downtown Mitchell

Tuesday marks the kickoff of the holiday season with festivities in downtown Mitchell.

First up is Christmas at the Palace from 4:30 PM until 6:30 PM. There will be treats such as cookies and cocoa, and Santa will be there for the children. The Mitchell Municipal Band will play at 5 PM as well.

The Parade of Lights begins at 7 PM. The parade route is Main Street from 1^st Street heading north to 9^th Street. This year’s theme is Winter Fun – Sleighs, Sleds, and Snow.

The events are free and open to the public.
