MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — The City of Brookings has implemented a new online board management system called OnBoardGOV, aimed at saving staff time and improving public access to information about city boards and commissions.

City officials said the system will make reports on term expirations and vacancies more user-friendly and transparent for both the city and the public. It also allows residents to submit an online application to serve through a streamlined process.

“Through the new system, residents can now quickly and easily view general board information, historical membership, attendance and vacant seats for all boards and commissions in one location,” City Clerk Bonnie Foster said in a city news release.

The city said OnBoardGOV will help staff update board member contact information, track membership, print board books and generate reports, including term expirations and vacancies, while making application management easier.

Residents can access the portal at the city’s OnBoardGOV site.
