The City of Mitchell has declared a snow emergency. All vehicles shall be removed from Snow Emergency Routes or they will be subject to ticket and towing. No parking will be allowed on Snow Emergency Routes until after the storm is over and the streets have been plowed curb to curb.
The plowing of east-west streets within the city will begin at 7:00 am December 9th, Friday morning. Any vehicles parked on the east – west streets at that time will be subject to ticket and towing. Plowing of North – South streets will begin around 11:00 am. We will issue notice prior to starting them.
The City of Mitchell Street Department will also continue to plow emergency snow routes until the storm is over and they are plowed curb to curb. .
