Madison rolled to a 31-0 win over Milbank on Friday to win the 11A state championship at the Dakota Dome. It was the fourth state title for Madison in seven seasons but first since 2017.

Trey Smith put the first 17 points on the board for Madison, connecting on a 25-yard field goal and two point-after-touchdown attempts and ran in scores from 3- and 13-yards in the second and third quarters. Smith finished with 51 yards on nine rushing attempts.

Madison quarterback Nate Ricke threw for a 4-yard touchdown and ran one in from a yard out in the third quarter.
