MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) After public complaints about high prices at last year’s event, the Corn Palace Entertainment Board has voted to lower alcohol prices for the 2025 Corn Palace Festival. Approved at the board’s meeting on Tuesday, the new pricing includes $6 for a 12oz beer, $7 for seltzers, and $9 for mixed drinks. Six-packs will also be offered at discounted rates. The Mitchell Republic reports that board members said the change responds directly to attendee feedback, aiming to improve the overall festival experience. The five-day event, set for August 20–24, will include carnival rides, concerts, food vendors, and more. The board also discussed, but did not act on, a proposed $250 honorary plaque sponsorship to help fund new Corn Palace seating. For more Government stories from MitchellNow.com, Click Here.
