Corn Palace Stampede Rodeo Week starts this evening with the Corn Palace Stampede Rodeo Community Kickoff BBQ. The event is free to the public and is set to begin at 5 PM. It will be held in a new location this year – at the Corn Palace Plaza at 6th and Main in downtown Mitchell. The rodeo performances run Thursday night through Sunday night at the Sportsman’s Arena Rodeo Grounds just north of Mitchell.
