MADISON, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) More details are being revealed after ICE raid operations took place in Madison on Tuesday, leading to eight total arrests. Federal court documents were made available on Wednesday, and Mayor Roy Lindsay also weighed in on what happened. According to the filings, a federal agent reportedly reviewed employment documents for Madison businesses earlier this year and discovered employees who appeared to be using other people’s identities. Search warrants were issued last week and then executed on Tuesday. Mayor Lindsay said he’s proud of the steps the two businesses that were raided took to verify employment eligibility. He’s also hoping the suspects get proper due process in each case. As a result of the ICE raid, eight people were arrested from two different manufacturing businesses — three from Manitou Equipment and five from Global Polymer Industries.
